My Chronograph

I never think of collecting my portraits from age to age, but luckily my sister did. I was surprised when I saw these passport-size photos of mine on her mirror few years ago. After married, she gave me these photos because she no longer need them (Kinda sad telling this).

Lets see how I changed. XD

Bad Luck Man

Sometimes... When you are having bad luck, no matter what bullshit problem also can happens.

There was a little problem with my Walkman of a year. Just a little problem that I never send it to repair. Dunno why, I suddenly lost patient on it and sent it to Sony Service Center for repair the first day I reached KL. They called me to collect my Walkman after four days, I was surprised they done the repairing so quick. I was in Sabah, so Cc went took it for me.

Normally, this story should have ended here. But last night right after I reached my home in JB, Sony staff called me telling that they messed up my Walkman with another's. You say lo... How can they made such a stupid mistake? It's the same model, but the one Cc took is Purple colour. Mine is Black! How can they messed up!

Even worse, my home got bad mobile coverage. I asked the staff to contact Cc, but he haven't do so. I'm not sure if he heard the right informations in our conversation last night...

Haiz... 10 years only repair once in Sony Center, like this also can ended up in such a messy situation. My walkman is 2GB, I hope the one Cc took is also 2Gb or more. So I won't rugi even we fail to swap back mine...

Photobucket
I really like my Walkman, so please return it to me!

Home Coming...

Photobucket

Once again, I feel the time flew... It's end of a year again. Time past so fast that make life seems so meaningless. Tonight will be my last night in Melbourne for this year. I feel like I just arrived here yesterday but now I'm already going back to Malaysia. Not really exciting about going home because I know time will pass very fast. In a blink of eyes, I'll be coming back here in January for Summer class! So I'm more worry about my lonely Chinese New Year now...

What I've gained after 4 months oversea? Hmm... Nothing! My main agenda of studying oversea is to improve my English but it's still as bad as always. Still laggy while speaking, still having a hard time understanding what they talking.... That's bad.... I feel guilty toward my parents...

ps: Going to visit my dad inside jungle of Sabah. No access to internet (not even dial-up) for weeks.

Japan Isn't Always Cool

I always like Japanese's creativity. Electronics, mobile phones, gadgets, toys, animations and dramas. I enjoy all of them. But definitely Not this!

Photobucket

These, are bras for men. I bet you'll have the same thought as me:"Why a man needs a bra?" I have no idea.... If you still don't believe your eyes, here's the complete introduction. I don't wanna pollute my blog anymore with those pictures.

After seeing that, I started to think will there be one day where all men wear brassieres. Zw also suggested maybe when the day came, men will became shame to show their breast like girls.... Now, that's really horrible.

Men's bra... Screw it!

On and Off

The Turned Off: I Lost My Wallet...

I was sick, heavy flu. Yet I still need to sit for Maths Exam in MSAC where 30 minutes away from city. But that's not how I lost my wallet. I lost it because I still took a detour to buy memory card knowing that myself was exhausted. The 1st thing to do when I reached room was sleep. I only realised that I lost my wallet 1 day after. Lost my ANZ card, Unilodge Swap card, RMIT student ID, Cash $250, Driving license and some priceless memorable accesorries in my wallet.

Fortunately, my Malaysian ID and ATM card are safe in room. This make situation a lot better. Without them, I can't even go back to my parents in Sabah or my brother in JB. I'm glad....

The Turned On: My First Online Shopping!

Well, ehem... If you read h2Frame, you will know that I bought a PSP last week! The new PSP-3000 series, which currently unhackable to play pirated games. In another word, I decided to support original games. But I realised that it's not easy to search for UMD (PsP game's format) here in Melbourne, especially older games. Tired of searching, I decided to try buy it online. I researched some forum and decided to give a highly credited Aussie based web-shop a try.

The experience was great. I ordered on Wednesday, they delivered it on Thursday and I received it on Friday morning! I guess I will continue buying my games from there since then.

Excited when saw this~

Happy Birthday!

Photobucket
Nike for my sister's new born little niece.

My sister just gave birth a baby daughter this evening. I told her to wait until 23th so we'll have a same birthday, but seem she's a little impatient baby to see the world. Now, 22 Oct has a new meaning to me starting from today.

Congratulation to sis and her family! Thanks for giving a smooth birth.

Mysterious Case #01

Photobucket
Unrelated Pic : A graffiti in RMIT Block 57, Level 5, Male's Toilet.

Few hours ago, I was heating up my leftover chicken curry while Xavier (Unilodge floormate from HongKong) also making his dinner. I set the timer for 3 minutes but after around 1 minutes, both of us heard a 'Pop!' coming out from the microwave. Without second thought, I halted the heating to check what happened inside.

Photobucket

My precious 'microwave-able' container broke! What a shame that a 'microwave-able' container broke by microwave. The blizzard part, the broken piece was gone... The microwave is a close space, the part would not exploded out right? Even it's melted, we will still saw some plastic gel. But there is none. It's completely nothing inside.

Photobucket

My hypothesis : The quantum energy of the explosion is too powerful that dragged the missing piece to the 4th dimension.

Scary....

Download Geek Reloaded

Photobucket

One of the "turning off" of Melbourne life in past 3 months (Gosh! It's already 3 months.) is the restriction in downloading. In Inti, we got DC++(p2p shareware) ; In home, my desktop was working 24/7. In Melb, I even insufficient quota just for surfing internet! Zennway once told me he used to download using Uni's connection but unfortunately p2p sharewares are banned now. So did my Uni, p2p is not allowed.

But finally... I was browsing about Heroes Season 3 and I accidentally discovered a website that provide direct download for 2 series that I wanna watch so much. And the good news is: Uni's connection allows direct downloads regarding the file size! I hated my timetable because there are many 1-2 hours intervals between classes. Too short to back room, too long to wait. But I love these intervals these days. Everytime after class, I'll head to computer lab and start my downloads while chit chat with classmates.

Here the 2 series that I can't miss. Make sure you check 'em out.

Heroes S3: Thriller + Special Abilities = OWNING

Terminator S2: Killing Machine + Sexy Girl = PAWN.

*Skynet finally discovered that female terminators are easier to diverge humans. LoL

ps: Suddenly think of Darryl's comment that reminding me my priority... Can I work dual priors? >.<

Chicken Fly~

Photobucket
Gentlemen, lets rock'n roll!

The best part of my engineering course - less frustrating reading and essay writing assignments. One of main task given to us this semester was to design and build a "chicken launcher". After 6 weeks of struggle, we finally had our "launching day" last Wednesday.

Photobucket

Each group was given a set of woods and a rubber band. Our task is to build a device using the elastic energy of the rubber band to launch a PVC chicken into a bucket. We are free to locate the bucket, and the score is given by (Distant travel x Accuracy).

Photobucket

So this is my group's launcher. It only managed to launch the chicken for 2.8m while most teams actually launched around 5m. To be frank, my group scored quite a low mark which ranked us around 30 out of 40 groups. Actually I felt a bit unfair, the rules stated that we can't attach our device on the floor. But most groups used tapes to stick their devices on floor because their devices are very unstable for powerful launch, and our advisers compromised them. Our device is the only that use no tape. This sounds like giving excuse, but nevermind... Our group still won the "most amount of members" award. The active members in a group is commonly 4. But due to some circumstance, we got 6! LoL~

Anyway, it's a fun and enjoyable project because I don't have to deal with books and our project advisers are more interesting than those lecturers as well. Can't wait for another project next year!

Fantastic Contraption

Photobucket

Recently. I've been addicted on this flash game called "Fantastic Contraption". Why the game is so addictive? Because it's all about Engineering! The objective of the game is to move the pink object pass by the pink region. The tools that we use to build our machines are wheels and rods.

There is no best way to solve the level. We can keep on trying to build new machine to solve the levels. The best part of this game is - We can save and upload our designs. After we completed the level, we'll able to check out others' masterpieces.

Photobucket
For this level.

Photobucket
You can just build a large tank to pass the gap.

Photobucket
Or you can fill in the gap with the block originally located above.

Photobucket
How bout this?

Photobucket
One of the solution.

Photobucket
Here's is another brilliant one.

Photobucket
This is my favorite machine that I found in the gallery. Someone even made walking machine!

And of course, there are some that made for laughter.

Photobucket
Dancing people. Surprisingly, it did send the pink ball pass the region in the end!

Photobucket
Drunken Lady. This one really funny...

Okay, I know this is a boring post... Engineering students, go try this game out. You will love it! For Medic and Art streams, this game will be really boring for u~~

ps: You can click those picture for links the see those machines in action if you interested.

Mid-sem Break

Photobucket

So my 1 week holidays almost finish. Having some great time in room ignoring 2 assignments due date and 2 tests by coming week. There were 2 things that I did during these days, besides dating with my laptop.

First, I tried to challenge some new recipes with ZhengWei in kitchen. Credits to Auntie Quah who imported variety of ingredients for us to play with.

Photobucket
Monday: BahKuTeh! Purposely went Victoria Market to buy some pork ribs and "sandanbara" (three-tiered stomach). Boiled for almost 2 hours, added water for 3 times. Real "LouFoTong" (hard-boiled soup).

Photobucket
Wednesday: Curry Chicken! First attempt to remove meat from drumstick in one piece.

Second, I went explore around the city, searching for any interesting shops and restaurants. Very comfortable weather for a walk during this interception period of Winter and Spring. Not hot nor cold.

Over Usage

Photobucket

Let me explain the way to read the meters. Red indicates Usage ; Blue indicates Quota ; Green indicated Extended Quato with Extra Charges. There were both 3GB Quota and 300MB Extended Quota for Peak and Off-peak hours, which until today I've no idea when are they actually. And this usage meter will be refreshed every month.

The screenshot was captured on 24 of August. As you can see, my internet usage exceeding 6GB in 3 weeks! What I planned was: I'll download 2 animes (Code Geass & Macross Frontier) every week, which cost me less than 2GB. And 4Gb should be more than enough for web-surfing. But I was freaking wrong... I realised that the over usage was due to frequent "Youtubing" and "Blog-Hooping" these days.

This week, I've be consistently using ZhengWei's account to play DotA and surf net (Luckily he's not a heavy user like me, or else we will have to play hide and seek for whole week in room... LoL~) because my off-peak usage had reached 99.8% and I don't know when is the so call "Off-peak" period. Seriously thinking of upgrade to 30GB plan next semester....
