Blogging?

There is a really humourous trend going on among my A-Level classmates - Switching from Friendster blog to Blogger's. I might not lead the trend but I'm the very 1st one to change to blogspot. LoL~ There were only 2 RSS feeds in my blog in February, Darryl's and Zennway's. Now, there are 10. (Zennway and Teckhong are using wordpress.)

Blogger allows users to customize blog template and add HTML/Java widgets.

Template:
- The easiest way is to download .xml file and upload it.

Dashboard > Layout > Edit HTML

There are thousand of webs offering free templates for blogger, Google is your best friend. These are my top rated sources of template. Since I only got 1 blog and cannot use all. I contribute:

InfoCreek: Mainly creating Wordpress template but sometimes there are blogger version.
(For your info, Cyril, Jovie and Darryl are using templates created by them.)
Gisele Jaquenod: Simply cute! (I modified mine from a template of this blog.)
blogger-templates: Not creating, but sharing nice templates the blogger found.

- Writing scripts is a work for pro, but we can modify some simple codes to make our templates unique.

For example:
If you wanna change the background image:

body {
background: url('http://www.imagehost.com/yourimage.jpg');
margin:0px;
text-align: center}

Find this line and replace the highlighted with the link of the image u wish to use. You may need a image host to upload the image, like photobucket or imageshack.

If you wish the background image stay still and not repeating:

body {
background: url(http://www.imagehost.com/yourimage.jpg) no-repeat;
margin:0px;
text-align: center;
background-attachment: fixed }

Add the highlighted words according to the location.

Widgets:
Layout > Page elements > Add an element


- Feed : RSS feeder that allow tracking updates from other blogs without visiting the page.

To add feed, you cannot use the normal web address but need a RSS address.

Find and click this icon when you are visiting the blog, either in the blog page or your internet browser.

It'll lead you to RSS page of the blog. Copy & paste the RSS address as feeder's url.


- HTML/Javascript : Add 3rd parties gadget by copy & paste the codes provided.
Some great source of gadget: SpringWidgets, Widgetbox, Myflashfetish

- Click counter : Record the total visits to your blog.
There are many click counter, but I'll recommend the 1 I'm using - SiteMeter. Because it can ignore your own visits so you can know the exact visits of your blog. (Since the person visit your blog the most must be yourself)

ps: Blogger is now working on the gadget library of itself (Layout > Page elements > Add an Gadget). But since it's Beta version, the library is still a bit messy.

Independency

Due to some circumstance, my mom decided to stay in 'home village' for 3 weeks since last weekend. Estimated will come back to J.B. on 8th of May. I was given an option whether to stay with her or back to J.B. with brother. And of course, I took the second choice because I cannot stand to sleep at 10p.m. every night.

Since my brother need to work, I'm the one need to take care of the househood works. It has been 4 days and I still never broom and mop the floor... I was lazy to clean up my room back in Inti even it's only a 7ft x 12ft, and now it's a 20ft x 70ft 2 stories house.... I think I'll only do it once a week. >.<

The worst part, now is only the 'Intermediate Stage' of my Independency. These days, my brother will buy food or bring me out to eat so I no need to worry about food. But from June, he'll start his new job in Singapore. He need to leave home at 5a.m. and back at 9p.m. everyday. By that time, I'll reach the 'Singularity Stage' of Independency.

Never cook after Form 5, hope I still can make some dishes to survive the week later.

1. Reach Inti before 4pm, can talk with Mr.Wong without waiting for second day.

2. Mr.Wong tells that Cambridge haven't reply him and the letter proving I studied in English need to ask from OAR. OAR Staff ask me to collect the letter on Friday. (Which means nothing to do on Thursday)

3. Mr.Wong calls to tell that he got the form. Too bad, I didn't bring my birth cert. Only choice is take the form back and courier to UK myself. o_0

4. Meet Siew Fei in BS counter.

5. Feel relief and go back Jovie's room to have a nice sleep.

6. Go Cyber Cafe after dinner and watched dozen of Entertainment shows.

7. Got the letter and rush to IDP.

8. Reach IDP after a long journey. "Felicia (my agent) is on MC today" :( "Apply RMIT? Oh, u are luckily! We still have RMIT fee waiving form, u no need to pay" :) "Mecha. Eng. a? Sorry, I have to check still got vacancy for this course or not" :( "Oh, It's still available!" :)

9. On train to Seremban. A lenglui sit beside me is happy enough. Somemore later she fall asleep and unconsciously lean her body on me. Happiest train ride ever! But only about 3 stations...

10. Tired of train ride. Yet still have to sit bus for 4+ hours.

11. Finally back to home.

Notes:
- Inti has lost its colour without h2fp...
- Surprised that Mr.Wong still recognize me. Even I'm a 'good student' who always sit at the back and never 'disturb' his class.
- Never see Chiwawa around... :( Maybe she's on break after AS exam... Nevermind, I'll go Inti again on June.
- Thanks Jovie for letting me stay in his '5 stars' room for 2 nights.

Family Support

Holy, I'm FUCKED!

MY A LEVEL CERT IS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I think that God doesn't want me to study oversea. Because problems came in heavy and heavier method during my preparation. I can't believe that I actually lost my cert. which is such an important document.

Another greater 'tamparan' after failed twice in IELTS. I really need to use this Malay word 'tamparan', can't think of a replacement in English. Because it really feel like being slapped heavily on my face. Yeah, it can be solved by money, but I don't have time to waste... 9 weeks left, it's more exciting than bungee jump! If Cambridge dulanly drag my time, then 'Sayonara Melbourne~'

It took me 36 hours to stand up even with my 'super regeneration' ability. Actually I hope that I've a weak mental and just went crazy, so I no need to bother the problem solving. Family support? LoL, these were the reactions of my family during the 36 hours.

Mother : "Ask ur computer help u find la!" + non-stop scolding
Sister : "This call “有多久风流，就有多久折堕”! Hahaha..." (Which means I suffer because I enjoyed too much these months)
Brother: "Not bad, at least you get the pride as 1st report losing cert. case of Inti A-Level. Hahaha..."

Well, I think Art of Sarcasm is deeply rooted in my family genes...

OxyGenie

Well, this will be a 'self satisfaction' post. But can't help... Because the new drama 《翻滾吧！蛋炒飯》 (erm, Rolling Omelet Rice?) is finally on air! 13 episodes, 13 weeks. I hope I have enough time to finish this drama before go study.

So what so special about this drama? Since Taiwanese (偶像剧) idol drama's storyline is always exaggerate and silly. They named it idol drama, so watching these drama only serve 1 purpose - see idols... For the 1st time, Genie Zhuo (卓文萱) act as the leading female character in the drama!!! So regardless how silly and boring the storyline goes, it will be a must watch! How good is Genie you ask? If one day you see me queueing in the crowd to get an idol's signature, then the idol must be Genie. No other idol has the attraction to drag me into the crowd, I hate crowd VERY much...

Watched 《公主小妹》 awhile ago because Genie in the actors list. It pissed me because although they stated Genie as "2nd leading character", her screen time is extremely little. But I did impressed fashion designer of her in 《公主小妹》. I realised Genie looks extremely charming in yellow clothings. And throughout the drama, almost all dresses she wore are in yellow spectrum. Thanks to that, I was able to complete the drama even the storyline is .....

I used to thought that DotA will leave my life after I finish my A Level because playing the game without friends is meaningless. Thanks to Jovie, with nickname UnHolyPiG that had drag me back to play DotA in BlueServer. Even the account I using to play is provided by him. Since he's far away from his beloved Munchy, I'll be summoned by him almost every night. (To play DotA, not to replace his wife)


However, things are not everlasting. Jovie's going back to Inti and start his degree next week. And playing BlueServer in Inti is mission impossible. Along with the end of his freelancer life, so does my full-time DotA life ends...


Another DotA kaki, Milkman (Joey) also seem to become very busy recently. Hardly to see him online, so DotA with him also another mission impossible. Hmm... I need to think of alternatives to kill my free times. Maybe I should dig out my brother's PS2 to play later.
