IELTS Countdown

Finally it's only left single digit of days until my IELTS test... To be frank, I have no confidence at all! My English seem to be weaker than last test because I never speak or write in English after finished A-Level.

Photobucket
Friends visited my room during exam period must have noticed that I have a bad habit to scatter books and papers on the floor. It started when I was Form 5 and preparing for SPM. I have 2 beds in my room but no table. So I used 2nd bed as replacement for table to place my mountains of exercises and soon, I became used to it. Now, I can't concentrate on study at all if my room is not messy enough.

Back then, I felt really shitted when realizing my writing band is only 0.5 fewer than the requirement. Never thought of this little language test will brought me such a heavy pressure that override my previous A-Level exam. Aiming Band 6.5 in overall and a 6.0 in writing might be a piece of cake for other but "Journey To The West" for me.

Photobucket
This is an Advance Vocabulary book that I bought in hope to improve my writing. It teachs many cosmetic ways in using words. Actually I doubt if I have learned 10% of what I read.

Photobucket
Really no idea how can I beg for a Band of 6.0 with essay that can't even satisfy myself.

I always bluff my friends when they said that I'm lucky by saying "Not luck, It's pure skill..."
But this time I have no skill. I really hope for a good luck to reach the requirements of University of Melbourne...
No, I need best luck for that!

Sujini's Poison~

Photobucket
Trust me. You will like this animated pic. if you watched "The Legend" a.k.a. "The Story of the First King's Four Gods". A Korean drama starring Bae Yong Jun. ^_^

Photobucket
Lee Ji Ah - Play as one of the main character, Sujini. That is her signature move in the drama which won fellow audiences' heart, including mine. Suprisingly, she is a newcomer and this is her very 1st acting experience. Thanks to her lovable character in "Four Gods" and her beauty of course, she gained quite a popularity.

Lady may be cute too~
Photobucket
She even created her own official website!
OhMyGoddess, I'm poisoned!
And no, I don't wish to be cured...

My Desktop with Ejiah's wallpaper...

Always unconsciously spaced out in front of laptop these days. Just stare at the screen doing nothing... LoL~

Giant's Scam !!

Giant Hypermarket was having sales last week. My mom wanna buy a few discounted plastic cabinets, so we paid a visit.

I think it has been more than 10 years since pricing with barcode in supermarkets proliferated in Malaysia. Yes, it does save a lots of time. But these supermarkets also take advantage on this system's weakness - customers can't read barcode, don't they? They will put confusing price tags to cheat consumers. E.g. : Put different but similar products' price on one single board. Customers are likely to mistakely took the expensive 1 in fact they planned to buy the cheap 1.

No doubt, Giant is one of them.

While we waiting the casher to confirm with her manager, I saw another aunty having a same situation too. So I went check it out.

We managed to avoid being overpriced because we bought only the cabinets. If people is buying a lots of stuffs which price's differences aren't that great, it's not possile to notice on spot.

Stay focus on the barcode scanner when paying!

It's Leap Year!

I'm sure everyone know this year is a 'leap year' because this February has 29 days... I won't forget blogging on this '4 years once' date. Who knows if this blog still exist after 4 years.

It's common sense that leap year can evenly divided by 4. But in fact, the year that divisible by 100 is not a leap year unless it also divisible by 400. Why?

Current calendar (Gregorian calendar) is a solar calendar which dates indicate the position of the earth on its revolution around the sun. One normal year contains 365 days, but 1 circulation of earth is 365 1/4 days. So a leap year occured every 4 years to cover up the missing day. However, 1 circulation is assumed as 365.2425 days in 4 decimal places. We actually advanced about 43 minutes every leap year... To correct this, every 25th leap year need to be skipped to 'slow down' the calendar untill the 100th leap year.

{ 0.72 hours x 100 = 72 hours (3 days skipped on 25th,50th, and 75th leap year) }

Until that was from 'Annual level' to 'century level', now I'm gonna move to 'millenium level'. LoL, what the heck! Well, the more accurate circulation period is actually 365.24219.... So, Sir John Herschel suggested make 4000 A.D. not a leap year to reduce the average year period to 365.24225 which is closer to perfect accuracy. Will earth survive till then? I doubt...

End of my bullshits
